Built for learners, with a mission to empower
Hackathons are great for engaging with new tech, but they often intimidate beginners and those from underrepresented backgrounds. This is because many participants are told to "build something" in a short amount of time with little guidance, making the events feel overwhelming and exclusive.
MentorMates addresses this by providing structured mentorship and support, turning hackathons into inclusive, accessible environments where anyone can confidently explore technology and create meaningful impact.

MentorMates is open source under the MIT License. We build in the open with the students, mentors, organizers and partners who use it, so that support at hackathons stays free and available to every learner.
